First Baptist's Ministry Team
At First Baptist all members are ministers. God has blessed our church with strong leaders in many areas. A number of our teachers are specialists in their fields which include preschool and children's ministries, youth and adult ministries, and missions' education. Excellence in ministry is important to us. Our goal is to develop a healthy and mature family of faith whose members are loving, generous, and cooperative. We take seriously the belief that God has called each of us to in His name.
James Knight was born in Gastonia, NC and raised in Charleston, SC. He served in the United States Coast Guard from 1990-1995. He is married to Robin Knight, and they have four wonderful children Jonathan, Taylor, Jordan and Madison. He also is the proud grandfather of Kiersten Elizabeth. James came to Christ at First Baptist Church in 2008, and was baptized at First Baptist Church in 2009. He is currently taking classes through The College Network, and working towards attending seminary.
William "Billy" Caudle is our Choir Director/Organist. Billy has extensive training in music with a style second to none. He has been minister of music in Churches throughout North Carolina and Virginia. Billy has a degree from the University on North Carolina, Greensboro. Billy lives on a boat with K.P., his cat.
